What to upload
JPEG or DNG, straight from the drone. Copies saved out of an editing app lose the details we need.

The short answer
Upload the JPEG or DNG file exactly as the drone saved it. Copy it from the memory card or the drone app and upload that.
Why the original matters
Every drone photo carries a hidden note: where the drone was, how high it was, and which way the camera pointed. Pin the Lot reads that note to place every pin.
Editing apps often drop the note when they save a copy. The photo looks the same, but the note is gone. Without it, we cannot place a single pin. See Why a photo has no location.
JPEG
The safe choice. Upload it and the preview appears straight away.
DNG
DNG works too. Browsers cannot show a DNG, so we make the preview on our side. It can take a moment longer before the photo appears.
Size
Each photo can be up to 250 MB. Photos that already exist in the same project are not added twice.
What you can pin
Any photo from the drone that still carries its note. Photos taken from the ground, or edited copies, will show a message instead of pins. You are never charged for a photo that cannot be pinned.
